Grant update from Lost Angels

Lost Angels Career Center (LACC) Work Program offers job training and transitional employment in industrial manufacturing and automotive restoration to transition-age youth who are high-risk, high barrier, or low income.

SAM’s $80,000 grant enabled LACC to enroll and support at least 19 students from the waiting list, providing these students with wages and essential services from day one.  During 2025, upon graduation from LACC’s Work Program, 90% of students and 100% of graduates secured career-path jobs, with most placements in high-growth industries like aerospace and advanced manufacturing.

The SAM Initiative funding directly facilitated access to instruction, wages, and resources, fueling the career journeys of these young people. Additionally, new partnerships have led to higher starting wages and more direct hires, expanding opportunities and empowering the community.
