Grant update from Harmony Project

When the Eaton Fire displaced families and disrupted schools in Pasadena, students faced uncertainty, loss, and upheaval. In 2025, SAM’s $40,000 grant to Harmony Project ensured that 227 K–12 students continued to receive tuition-free music education and essential emotional support.

Despite these challenges, students remained connected, creative, and resilient. Through orchestral music, Mariachi, Drumline, and Music Production, they developed not only musical skills, but also confidence, perseverance, and a sense of belonging. Highlights include:

💫90% of students reported feeling more confident
💫95% know an adult who believes in them
💫91% enjoy helping others

Our grant enabled Harmony Project to adapt programming, maintain continuity, and provide stability during a time of crisis—demonstrating the profound impact of collaborative giving and SAM's nimbleness.
