SAM SE will be taking on a different shape next year, with even greater potential for growth and impact. The best way for us to make waves in this space is by funding the next generation of business leaders and their awareness of social impact. I’m proud to announce our partnership with UCLA Anderson School of Management.

SAM SE will underwrite Impact Week (April 22-26), which brings together thought leaders and founders of mission-driven businesses from across a variety of industries to explore solutions to our world’s biggest challenges, share best practices and inspire social change for tomorrow’s leaders (students). Past conferences have attracted more than 300 attendees, and have included senior executives from TOMS, Patagonia, Disney, Google and Mattel.

Within Impact week, SAM SE will sponsor Impactathon, which connects community-based social entrepreneurs with MBA students in a hackathon-like workshop culminating in a competitive mini-pitch, with a monetary prize going to the top two social entrepreneurs.

This is a different direction for SAM SE, but it springs from our spirit. Since our inception three years ago, we’ve made a name for ourselves as a group on the forefront of the rapidly growing social enterprise space, and together with a new partner, we can continue on a trajectory of growth and impact. We are well-aligned for this collaboration with UCLA Anderson, who are elevating the discourse about social innovation and business as a force for social change.
